Hawaiian Canoe Club Motorcycle and buzz of adrenaline-fueled excitementOriginating in 1960, the Hawaiian Canoe Club began with John M. Lake and 25 other members with Hawaiian ancestry, with the christened Kokololio Swift Winds of Waikapu as the clubs first canoe. Growing in size, the club competed in its first state regatta in 1962, merging paddlers from Hawaiian, Kahului, and Lahaina canoe clubs to create the crews. Hawaiian Canoe Club advocated good relations with other canoe clubs by loaning canoes to other clubs, not
