It makes it easy to retrofit a new SeaStar helm in the location of previously installed older helms such as early pre 1991 SeaStar Helms, SyTen Helms or mechanical rotary steering helms. Please note that this product is not suitable for BayStar Helms. Used to retrofit a new SeaStar standard helm in the old 4. 5 diameter hole
