Workpiece is very securely held by the vise due to the jaws becoming parallel when pressure is increased. The quick release is designed for one hand operation. Wooden jaws also can be used on this vise to ensure that delicate work is not damaged due to the secure holding. For the wooden jaws the vise has pre tapped holes.
