This very cute antique Essex Crystal brooch dates from the Victorian period, circa 1880. The subject has been reverse carved into a rock crystal dome, and hand painted with a cute little black pug. It's lovely little facial features are depicted perfectly, with each fur stroke, "wrinkle" and eyes painted with shadows and highlights. Mounted on a 9k yellow gold brooch
