The tropical weather of the South Pacific combined with the laid back Aloha lifestyle made this cold, sudsy beverage the perfect refreshment for locals and watermen alike. In 1897 the Hawaii Brewing Company introduced Primo Beer, which came to be known as the Hawaiian beer for much of the last century.
