Egyptian Revival 1930's Diadem of Tutankhamun Bangle choker in this instanceDATE: Egyptian Revival, c. 1930 The Egyptian Revival era of jewellery took place during the Art Deco period, when Tutankhamun's Tomb was discovered, and this piece, a revival of the Diadem of Tutankhamun. The original (currently in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo) was designed to secure the wig of the king during ceremonies and to protect his forehead.
