GODWIT HAND CARVED BIRD DECOY Polar bear Abstract pendant design by GeorgeAlaskan folk artist David Personius of Two Rivers, Alaska, makes hand carved decorative bird decoys Measures approximately 13" tall, 12. 5" from tail to bill, and 4" deep According to Wikipedia, a godwit is a large, long billed, long legged and strongly migratory wading bird. Their long bills allow them to dig in the sand for worms and molluscs. They frequent tidal shorelines, breeding in northern climates in summer and migrating south in winter.
